Move over ‘Horror Story’, the
spooky fest continues this season with “Grab a bite of Sunny”. I bit that! Ragini
MMS 2. Recently watched the trailer of the (supposedly) horror movie Ragini MMS
2. At one point of time, i felt that the trailer lacked one thing... HORROR!!
And then came a lady with branches drawn on her face. And that wasn't really
funny Ekta. Oh sorry, it’s a horror right? I am spooked! I will compensate that
with the funnier unzipping scene. Not the shower one though. Naughty girl,
we’ve also seen Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho”
murder under shower, best-known scenes in world cinema. About the myths and
legends, I’ll not talk here.
Sunny, perhaps, will try to
connect with the audience through her skills (if u read acting skills, that's
your problem). Is it boring? Yes, she has succeeded in boring us again with the
same set of unwieldy assets that we all are quite bored of. Did u just notice
lots of words starting with 'bore'? Well, that's because the trailer is boring.
And we all will soon be BORED of those assets that get flaunted in every other
Bollywood movie. We have also seen them aplenty in some of our favourite 'Mom,
i am solving online questionnaires' sites, since childhood.
Our Ekta is kinda smitten with
horror and sex. Of course, it’s her proven forte. So what happened when she
thought of putting them together? Sunny Leone's personal site got a banger. I
felt Sunny is doing ads in Bollywood for her 'business prospects'. Welcome to
Bollywood. Eagle having sex with Snake is ‘Business as usual.’ How foul?
Anyway, our seductress Sunny is
playing a femme fatale in Kaizad Gustad's Jackpot. She has moved ooonnnn!!! Her
ads still continue for her.... Ohh!! She quit. Sorry. But i am happy that she
reportedly got 1 crore for her ad....umm.. movie. Damn!! Hope she uses that
money for some acting classes. Gawd!! She needs it real bad.
Ragani MMS 3 anyone?
Good one kamal... quite sensible! Ekta thinks after The dirty picture she can get away with anything sexy n oomphs in her movies but hopefully she realizes soon that shez doing a bollywood movie and not any b grade cinema... sunny leone is seasonal as she has opened the doors for another porn star who will be seen apilling out her sex factor or maybe x factor in bollywood. Hope it doesn't get into a dirty competition.

DeleteIts quite simple Kamal.. sex sells!! Sex has, in the past, helped to sell chocolates, deodorants, watches, paint, bed linen and so much more all over the world. It friggin even sells sofas in Hyderabad. This idea is not limited to India or other sexually repressed countries. A business woman like Ekta understands that and why not? Even a director like Prakash Jha makes sure to add an item number in his serious thought provoking film. It takes so much more to attract the audience to the theatre. Movies with great stories, awe inspiring performances and direction sink without a trace at the box office. Out of all the marketing gimmicks, selling sex has proven to be foolproof (not always but mostly). Proof is in the pudding! Sunny Leone has beaten Katrina Kaif in the most searched celebrity online and now the poster girl of every puberty hit kid! Ekta is smart enough to milk that and to lure the audience. Come on.. fess up!! you will watch this movie, won't you? ;)

But don't make a horror movie with the posters, pre-trailer buzz in the ragini mms 2 facebook page and teasers all having just skin shows and A rated stuffs. I mean that's freaking desperation coz u don't trust ur own sensibility and in the subject of the movie. I make a horror movie and let me have 2 out of 6 posters cheesy and i think that's still ok and blame it on marketing. The Dirty Picture for that matter is a thumbs up for me coz what was in trailer was there throughout the movie too. PERFECT !! Name it Dirty Picture 2 and i am ok... but Ragini MMS 2..?? :p
DeleteAs yu hv rightly observed the streotype factor in Ektas' movie which actualy doesn't works further.. wish Ekta goes through it and be period in her next move.... Everytime sex doesn't gives pleasure sometimes it rapes too however it is used...

ha ha ha.. great comments bro.. Best title for the blog is EKTA n HER trademark SEX.. Hindi Films are so much depending on sex for marketing n the same route is followed south indian film industries too, so sad too see this much deprived film industries in india , especially bollywood which goes after sex..

"Sex with horror" would make more hits than "Sex with love". Bet !! People say they want and crave for 'changes' but the truth is they don't want changes in grabbing a visual treat - SEX. Rather they prefer variety. And so horror n sex is obviously a different variety n super obviously a visual treattttttt.. so no wonder if it has housefulls than sholay, chandramukhi, magadheera or chemeen ;) rather book first day first show n enjoy :D
ReplyDeleteWell.. i do not deny that at all Anjali. All i say is.. let that be a visual treat rather than a boring affair. If u happened to see the FB page of Ragini MMS 2, u will notice that the first couple of posts have got a good response and then it came down drastically. We enjoy sex, visually and otherwise. But too much of just that is gonna be boring and of course tiring (to the eyes) and brain. And since majority of us have seen more of her than what she is trying to hide here, it isn't exciting at all. As someone rightly said, seems like she is appearing for Class X exams after passing MBA. :D
